Ensuring a Safe Space for All

Written by DA(S) Admin on .

Dear members of the debate community,

Debate Association (Singapore) takes a very strong stance against any form of sexual harassment.

We are committed to building and maintaining a safe and welcoming family of debaters, regardless of differences in race, language, religion, age, gender, and so on. We take a very serious view on matters that threaten the well-being and trust of those within our community.

We gently urge any and all members of our community to reach out to us or the relevant authorities if you experience or witness any form of sexual harassment within our debate community. This includes incidents at tournaments, camps, and training sessions, or any other incidents involving a member of our debate community.

We place great importance on all debaters’ ability to both participate freely in the debate community and to access safe spaces. To that end, DA(S) is committed to enforcing equity policies across all of our programs.

If you wish to report equity violations, please contact the President and Vice President directly at Your identity and all information will be kept strictly confidential.

At the same time, DA(S) also strongly urges everyone to practise sensitivity, empathy, and respect towards all members of our debate community.
